General Faqs

Have any questions in mind about this event? Check out our General Faqs below.

Must Read Faq

The 100 Days of Running challenge is a virtual event in which participants are required to run or walk a minimum distance of 2 kilometres per day for 100 consecutive days.

To be considered an event finisher, participants must complete at least 40 days of the challenge.

Participants can track their progress using a mobile app or GPS watch, or by manually reporting their distance and time on the event website or an app like Strava (although a maximum daily distance of 5 kilometres can be reported without proof). For additional information about the challenge, see the FAQs.

Only participants who have submitted valid run data for at least 40 days out of 100 will be eligible for the finisher medal. If you are indeed eligible to receive the medal, refer to the timelines section for the same.

Finishers are ranked based on the number of days for which valid data is submitted. If multiple participants have the same number of days, their ranking is determined by the points they earn, which are awarded based on the distance covered and activity pace.

Both manual submissions (with or without a link) and automatic imports of distance are considered, but pace points are only awarded for automatically imported activities from supported apps.

Participants who have their data automatically imported from any of the supported apps will receive a bonus of 10 points for each activity.

The 2024 leaderboard will be based on the number of days run, followed by activity points. Activity points are calculated as follows:

Activity points = Distance points + Pace points + Bonus points

Distance points are awarded at a rate of 4 points per kilometre. No Pace Points at >= 15 Min/km (Min pace)Pace points at 50% of Distance Points at <= 5 Min/km (Max pace)Pace Points if the pace is between 5 Min/km & 15 Min/km = Distance points * 0.5 * (Max Pace – Activity Pace) / (Max Pace – Min Pace)

Pace points are only awarded for imported activities connected apps, and not for manually submitted activities.

Participants will receive a bonus of 10 points per day if their activity data is automatically imported from any of the supporting apps.

Following are the age categories for the event:

  • 7 years to 12 years
  • 13 years to 18 years
  • 19 years to 29 years
  • 30 years to 39 years
  • 40 years to 49 years
  • 50 years to 59 years
  • 60 years to 69 years
  • 70 years and above

Participant age as on event start date, i.e. April 27th, 2024, will be considered for above categories.

The top 5 men and women as per published rank will receive a podium trophy (days & then points earned basis)

Criteria for trophies
  • * For all individuals (age-category and overall), the winners will be decided on the basis of days run followed by points earned.
  • *For couple/family/friends teams, the winners will be decided on the basis of days run followed by total points for the whole team. Days run will not be a sum of days run by each member, but simply a count of how many days out of the 100 any member of the team ran. So if any member of the team ran on each day of the event, the total will be 100.
  • *For running groups and corporate teams, the winners will be decided on the basis of the total points earned by the respective team.

Data Submission Faqs

Have any questions in mind about this event? Check out our General Faqs below.

Must Read Faq

It is not required to use a mobile running app or GPS watch, but it is highly recommended. If you prefer, you can also log your daily run distance and time by entering the information on the HDOR website or mobile app. A maximum distance of 5 km per day can be accepted without any supporting evidence.

If you are installing a mobile app, please see the list of our supported apps here.

Yes, we offer HDOR mobile apps for both Android and iOS (iPhone). You can download the app by following these links:

iOS | Android

Using the HDOR app, you can:

  1. Submit activity data
  2. Check event leaderboards and reports
  3. View your run logs

Treadmill or indoor runs that are tracked using GPS watches in indoor or treadmill mode and for which you have a public activity link displaying distance, time, pace, and splits will be accepted for submission. However, if you do treadmill running without this type of data, you can still manually submit your daily run data, as long as the maximum distance for the day does not exceed 5 km.

Older run data can be submitted for up to 10 days after the date of the run.Submissions beyond this timeframe will not be accepted. It is the participant's responsibility to ensure that their submissions are made on time. The final deadline for submitting all entries after the event is 7th August 2024. No submissions will be accepted after this date.

If there are any issues with automatic data import, the participant must inform the support team within the above-mentioned submission timeframe.

On your mobile or computer browser head to our website and access the Menu >> Settings >> Connected Apps section to connect your HDOR account to Strava

On your mobile app, visit the Menu >> Connected Apps section to connect your HDOR account to Strava

For step by step process to connect your HDOR account to your Strava account so that all your run/walks are automatically imported, check out the help video on our help and support page.

Your run will be available on our website within an hour of your run data submission or as soon as it becomes available in your Strava account if you have connected your HDOR account to Strava. If your run data does not appear in your account within one hour, please submit the activity link and run data manually through the app or website, and contact our support team at support@hdor.com.

We permit participants to mix running and walking. In fact, we recommend that participants take a few rest days by walking the minimum required distance of 2 km as part of the event rules. This can help with recovery.

If you are submitting more than one entry for a single day, only the activity with the longest distance will be counted. This means that if you do more than one run or walk activity on the same day, only the one with the greatest distance will be considered.

For any data submission, the minimum distance eligible to be submitted is 2 km. Any distance less than 2 km will be considered invalid.

There is no upper distance limit for submission with proper activity proof in the form of a valid activity link from the mobile app or GPS watch

However, if the submission is without acceptable proof, then a maximum distance of 5 km can be submitted.

The event organisers reserve the right to reject any entry with suspicious GPS data, such as a straight line outside of a normal run route or an unrealistic high pace (e.g. sub 3 min/km pace at any point during the run).Submitting any data from a ride or using a vehicle will result in the entry being considered invalid. The event organisers also have the right to disqualify a participant if it is determined that they have received external assistance (e.g. by using a bike or other vehicle) or cheated in any way during the event.

It is not allowed to submit activities that are tagged with someone else's name. Only the participant who recorded the activity can submit it. If any tagged activity is discovered, it will be removed from the system and will not be considered for the event.
