The park's two developed areas, Red House and Quaker, have sandy beaches and hiking, nature programs, mountain biking and equestrian trails that double as cross-country ski and snowmobile trails in winter.
Midway State Park, right on Lake Chautauqua is one of the oldest continually operating amusem*nt parks in the nation. With the renovated 1928 round house encasing the 1946 Allen Herschell carousel, this family-friendly park offers midway games, children's rides, go karts and picnic shelters. Also located right on the lake, Long Point State Park has a marina and is a popular spot for muskellunge fishing.
