What happened to the guy that used to be on America's test kitchen? ›

In 2015, when he left the America's Test Kitchen TV shows, his association with the radio program also ended. He began hosting a new weekly radio cooking show in 2016, Milk Street Radio, also heard on WGBH-FM in Boston, airing Sundays at 3 p.m., and syndicated to other US public radio stations.

The judges thought so, too. Johnson came home the winner, with not only a spot on “America's Test Kitchen” but also a cookbook deal and a $100,000 prize to help fund a culinary business. Now, she's back home and busily working on her book.

Bridget currently serves as the lead instructor for the America's Test Kitchen Online Cooking School and helps develop and produce courses for the school.

Why the name “Milk Street”? We're located on historic Milk Street in downtown Boston, in the erstwhile Flour & Grain Exchange Building. Milk Street was given its name in 1708 after a milk market that was located here; it's also the street where Benjamin Franklin was born.

She is also co-host of America's Test Kitchen and Cook's Country and is an original cast member of both shows, which are two of the highest-rated instructional cooking shows on television. Julia also is host of Julia at Home, which premiered on Pluto TV in November, 2021.

She currently serves as an executive chef at New York City's Butter restaurant and was executive chef at The Darby restaurant before its closing. Guarnaschelli studied cooking extensively in France.
