SPARTANBURG, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - After several months of technical problems, the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office said the public now has access to view mugshots online.
The sheriff’s office said it’s website provider and IT personnel have been working to reformat the public access for booking photos.
“We understand how many of our citizens have been concerned about the site being down over the past year,” officials said. “We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding during this process.”
Officials mentioned that the booking photos were briefly working on April 26, however, in less than an hour, they went back down possible form too many people trying to access the site in such a short amount of time.
Mugshots can now be found on the front page of the sheriff’s office’s website.
“As a reminder, our agency provides booking photos as a service to the community but not as a requirement under the Freedom of Information Act,” the sheriff’s office said.
