The manga ended for a while and of course, the mysterious Blue Spider Lily was revealed in the final chapter as well as why Muzan couldn't find for 1000 years. However, there is still one thing that make me confused (one thing that i may call a "plot hole", sorry if i'm wrong). WHAT EXACTLY MADE DEMON TANJIRO & NEZUKO SO SPECIAL? How can they develop sunlight resistance while other demons can't?
In Nezuko's case, some people may say that it was because Tamayo's human-conversion drug. In Tanjiro's case, they may say that it was because the Sun Breathing/Hinokami Kagura. But for me, that makes no sense.
So, while thinking about that, a crazy theory poped up in my mind: What if the doctor who turned Muzan into a demon was an ancestor of the Kamado family? It's possible, right?
Acording to the Blue Spider Lily page: "The Blue Spider Lily was an important base ingredient for a medicine created by the doctor who treated Muzan's deadly disease (which would supposedly kill him before he reached the age of twenty). However, frustrated by the worsening condition of his illness, Muzan killed his doctor before he could finish the medicine."
Now, about the medicine that turned Muzan into a demon, we know that it wasn't completed (prototype) and we know that The Blue Spider Lily was an important ingredient to create it. However, it wasn't never said that The Blue Spider Lily was the only ingredient needed to create that medicine.
I assumed that the doctor used his own blood as a catalyst or an ingredient in that medicine. So, the whole picture is clear, right? Tanjiro & Nezuko-the doctor's descendants. It's obvious that their blood (gene/DNA) has the same properties as himself.
English is not my first language so sorry if i made mistakes. However, i think that anyone who read this post will understand what i want to convey. So that is my thought : The doctor who turned Muzan into a demon was an ancestor of the Kamado family and he used his blood as an ingredient in the demon-conversion drug. If this is true, then it will explain why Nezuko & Tanjiro can resist sunlight while other demons can't.
