Traveling is one of the most sure ways to reconnect with yourself after a brief period of being lost. Wandering aimlessly through life, we tend to have a knack for bumping into people that serve as cues for us to get back on track with our life’s purpose. While we take advantage of the opportunity and use this friendship to navigate through life, it is the transfer of energy that keeps us afloat.

Often times we find ourselves (or place ourselves) in awkward predicaments that the only person we can turn to sometime is the person who has cast no judgements towards us thus far. Sometimes, it’s easy to overlook the power of true friendship but it should be noted that during these trying times, true friends will show their colors.

According to the Six Degrees of Separation, we are all six connections away from our desired point of attraction. How is this possible? If you take the 6 closest people you know and follow the trail of the people that they associate with and so on, you’ve pretty much entangled with a couple hundred (or million) people. So in theory, whatever happens to you, it also effects the people around you. No matter the situation, calling on a friend in a time of need may be the last thing you want to do but trust, it’s worth it.

To all the people who I have encountered and had the pleasure of sparking a conversation, thank you for crossing my path. Life has a funny way of reminding you of your life’s purpose and surrounding yourself with people that want you to succeed is critical in becoming victorious. Planting seeds in favorable conditions are a sure way to yield a decent crop enough to feed all parties involved. Planting seeds in unfavorable conditions can be detrimental to one’s dream and has led to many people, including myself, to losing direction on the road to success.

To everyone who has played a part in my maturation process, from the bottom of my heart, I want to thank you for believing in me. I want to thank you for helping when I needed it the most. Thank you for the meals, monetary donations and overall just being present in our life. Its because of your help, that I found myself and now leading a more positive life.

Today’s goal: be the rainbow in someone else’s cloud. If you see one of your so-called “friends” going through a hard time, offer a helping hand. Hook the homie up with a meal. Offer to take them out to dinner. Do anything that will let them know that they are not along. Give people their flowers while they can smell them.

In closing, the journey through life can be tough. But being surrounded by positive individuals will make the excursion much more enjoyable. For those who’ve helped us conquer not having a place to live, blessed us with a meal, helped us mentally to get back on one accord, I want to say thank you.
