Though it's no competition for her love for her husband Jeffrey, Ina Garten has long adored Paris. After first visiting the French capital decades ago, the Food Network star purchased a pied-a-terre in the 7th Arrondissem*nt in 2000 and often escapes her main home in East Hampton, NY for holidays and vacations there.

Throughout her travels, Ina is constantly posting about her favorite restaurants and Parisian destinations on Instagram. Her "first stop" on a recent trip was to Poilâne bakery for some fresh baked bread. The quaint shop is a spot she visits often—like on Christmas Eve last year when she popped in for some apple tarts. On the same winter trip, she also stopped by La Grande Epicerie de Paris for lemon meringue tart.

Ina's "favorite bar" in the city of love is inside the posh hotel Le Meurice. Want to drink like the Barefoot Contessa? She ordered bourbon sours on a recent date night. As for restaurants, Ina calls the riverside eatery Le Voltaire "heaven on earth!"

Ina and Jeffrey are also ones to see the sights. The pair stopped by the Château de Valmer on Tuesday for a tasting of their Vouvray wines—and Ina couldn't help but get some inspiration for her kitchen garden while there.

During the holiday season, you can find the chef walking through the Place Vendôme for a gorgeous view of the lit Christmas trees. "The French do it with such style—simple and elegant," she wrote.

And of course, they are not opposed to a quiet meal at home while in town. "Sunday lunch ready to go into the oven," Ina captioned a photo of a roast chicken with veggies and potatoes.

The food she has in Paris also serves as inspiration for her cooking stateside. Ina gave her signature roast chicken an update with simple roasted radishes for her latest cookbook, Cooking for Jeffrey, after a visit. "I was invited to a dinner party in Paris and someone made turkey with roasted radishes, and I thought, 'I've never roasted a radish in my life,'" she told PEOPLE. "They're so good cooked."
