Spoiler alert: The Fuel Save Pro looks a lot like all the other dubious green and white plug-in OBD-2 devices I’ve blogged about.
Watching a Youtube video and I came across yet another fuel saving device ad, this one called the Fuel Save Pro, promising to reduce my fuel consumption by 35% while increasing power by 35% and torque by 25%.
Their website is www.fuelsavepro-chip.com.
And here are screenshots from their ad.
So, is the Fuel Save Pro the OBD-2 plug in device th eone that’ll save me enormous amounts of money with its fuel saving technology.
Well, probably not. Here’s why.

The first red flag that tips me off that the Fuel Save Pro is not legit is the website.
Fuel Save Pro is not some established company that you’re just now hearing about, they literally popped out of nowhere, copied the template of previous fuel saver websites, and photoshopped their new logo onto the old images.
Here’s the WHOIS search results for FuelSavePro-Chip.com. The website was created on July 28, 2022 and, with an expiry date of one year from then, doesn’t seem like they plan to stick around.
Then there’s the top search results when you look up “Fuel Save Pro Chip” on Google, first page of search results is mostly filled with paid for reviews on websites like outlookindia.com, techtimes.com, and mercurynews.com. Mercury News (aka the San Jose Mercury News) is a legit news source but, if you click on their ad it clearly shows it’s sponsored content and has no affiliation with Mercury news themselves.
Even the People also ask snippet is stuffed with questionable answers from sites like decanherald.com and greenmatters.com.
Thankfully, the only real search result that, like me, wants to debunk the Fuel Save Pro is from Youtuber Jordan Liles.
It’s not obvious to the average internet user but, by placing biased articles on websites that have been on the internet for a couple of years, sites that are open to posting almost anything for a small fee, whoever is behind Fuel Save Pro is able to rank these strategically placed articles so it’s the first set of search results that pop up when looking up “Fuel Save Pro.”
In other words, just because Fuel Save Pro search results link to positive articles doesn’t mean what they post is true…at all.

I would not be surprised if all these OBD2 device sites were made by the same person.
The likely truth about Fuel Save Pro and any other magic green and white OBD-2 device that you see advertised on the internet.
As I’ve blogged about before what these people do is order a whole bunch of Green and White OBD-2 devices from China for as little as $1 each, make a website that’s likely copied from all the other fuel saving devices, make a slick ad for Youtube, and buy Youtube ads, probably spending thousands over a several months ad campaign.
As their pricing shows these people will re-sell you this do-nothing $1 device to you for upwards of $50 a piece.
Check out Alibaba.com and search for Fuel Saver and you’ll see what I mean, those green and white OBD-2 devices are probably what will show up in the mail if you buy a Fuel Save Pro.
As debunked numerous times before, these OBD-2 devices have no capability on its chip to talk to your engine’s brain (aka the ECU or the engine’s computer) and can therefore not adjust timing, fuel, and spark on the fly to make your engine use less fuel.
All these devices do is power on and re-play a convincing sequence of flashing LED lights that do nothing but drain your battery if plugged in for too long.
Conclusion
If you came across this blog post before buying a Fuel Save Pro, I think you now know what’s up and, in my opinion, you should not buy this fuel saving device.
But if you already bought this product, I’d try my best to initiate a charge back if you used a credit card. If you used a debit card, you may be out of luck, but I’d call your bank to see if there’s anything they can do on their end to start a refund.
