Another thing , FREEZE YOUR CREDIT before you walk in that dealer, they should NOT be running your credit on a preapproval either, and DONT let them know you have one until your car is selected and it’s payment time.You know how many ppl have walked in , and walked out wit no car and 10 inquiries .. and if you don’t know how to remove them .. they basically feel defeated , and your score has dropped , hindering your chances of being approved at another dealer . Stop that

Let’s use my car as an example , was 51k msrp, sale price was 34k. My loan was 31.5k .. I had a 6k down payment lol yes there’s taxes and licensing and gap insurance , those can ALL be added into the loan tho, you don’t have to pay for those when you put down a down payment .Now I know y’all know basic math.. if my car was 34k but my loan was 31.5k financed .. and i put 6,000 down .. where did it go lol TTL didn’t cost 3k…

You know down payments on cars illegal right ? And you paying the dealership not the bank . That’s why pre-approvals from banks don’t require you to place a down paymentWell since I know consumer law , I sent in letters to my dealership and got my original $6k down payment back from a 2017 purchase lol because you are not required to pay to secure a loan . Never have been never will be.. not even for a house
