Playbill On-Line has learned that Fatone will replace the Tony-nominated Hunter Foster as Seymour June 24. Foster will play his final performance on Skid Row June 6. During the interim, standby Jonathan Rayson will play the role of the down-on-his-luck plant-shop worker. The Little Shop company currently includes Kerry Butler as Audrey, Rob Bartlett as Mushnik, Douglas Sills as Orin, Michael-Leon Wooley as the voice of Audrey II and DeQuina Moore, Trisha Jeffrey and Carla J. Hargrove as, respectively, Chiffon, Crystal and Ronnette.
Joseph Anthony Fatone Jr. was born in Brooklyn, NY, in January 1977. The young singer worked at Universal Studios before joining the now world famous band 'N Sync, whose albums include "'N Sync," "The Winter Album," "Home for Christmas" and "No Strings Attached." He made his Broadway debut as Mark in the New York company of the Pulitzer and Tony Award winning musical Rent. Fatone's film credits include "My Big Fat Greek Wedding," "On the Line" and "Longshot."
Little Shop of Horrors plays the Virginia Theatre, located at 245 West 52nd Street.
