Rev. Timothy "Tim" Don Davenport, age 57 of Ellijay, passed away on Sunday, April 7th, 2024 at his home.
Mr. Davenport was born on January 18th, 1967, in Atlanta GA, to the late Rev. Herbert Charles Davenport and Frances Mull Davenport. He was a self-employed roofer and was a member of the Mount Moriah Baptist Church of Eton. He loved hunting, fishing, singing, going to church, and loved his grandkids. In addition to his parents, Mr. Davenport is preceded in death by his sister, Annette Piper.
Survivors include his wife, Cheryl Davenport of the home; sons, Rev. Brandon (Brandy) Davenport of Ellijay and Ethan (Christian) Pennington; daughter, Jennifer (Bo) White of Carrolton, GA; sisters, Marlene Pool, Judy Piper, and Linda Bentley; 6 grandchildren, Mackenzie, Zoey, Lyla, Brady, Timothy, and Jericho and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, April 10th at 2:00 pm from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Bub Hightower and Rev. Brandon Davenport officiating. Interment will follow in the Yukon Cemetery. Pallbearers serving the family will be Shane Piper, Adam Piper, Daniel Poole, Victor Wilcurt, JD Teal, and Harold Mull.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 9th from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
Flowers and food will both be accepted in memory of Mr. Davenport; however, donations may also be made to the funeral home to help the family with funeral expenses.
