I've had generally positive experiences with a number of TRP brakes over the years, but have been left wanting for more power for use on bigger Enduro and DH bikes. The DH-R Evo, though, is very much up to the task.

What happens if you don't bed in brakes? ›
Failure to bed-in your brakes can lead to uneven buildup of film on the rotors resulting in "brake judder" - a vibration, sometimes severe, that will be felt through the steering wheel and suspension caused by the pads losing and regaining contact with the discs as they rotate, due to the uneven buildup.
When should I replace my TRP brake pads? ›
WARNING - Pad thickness must be at least 0.8 mm. Confirm this before each ride. Keep pads clean and free of oil or hydraulic fluid. If pads become contaminated discard and replace.
