While it may seem like an unconventional pursuit, a romantic relationship with the franchise's enigmatic servant of death can unlock new interactions and intriguing storytelling possibilities for your Sim.

How To Summon The Grim Reaper
While morbid, the easiest and most efficient way to summon the Reaper is by sacrificing a Sim.
The death of a Sim will immediately attract the presence of the Grim Reaper, who will promptly appear from a cloud of smoke before whisking the recently deceased away into the afterlife.
There are a lot of ways for a Sim to die, but there are a few easy techniques:
- Construct a swimming pool on your Sim's lot, then lure the sacrifice into the pool and remove any possibility for them to escape; this is best achieved by building a wall around the pool's edge. Once trapped, the Sim's needs will slowly reduce before they eventually drown.
- If you progressed through the game and acquired the Cowplant, you can witness a bizarre and comedic death by having the sacrificial Sim be swallowed by it twice.
- If you are in the early game, having a Sim with a poor handiness skill attempt to repair a low quality fridge with a puddle underneath it will end in a shockingly predictable result.
Regardless of the technique you choose to kill your sacrificial Sim, their demise will fulfill the single condition required to cause the Grim Reaper to appear.
The Grim Reaper's visits do not last long, vanishing shortly after dealing with the Sim's death.
While he may not disappear instantly, the window of opportunity to engage in conversation with him is brief, so make sure that you interact with him before he despawns, otherwise you will have to set up another sacrifice to make him show up again.
How To Become Friends With The Grim Reaper
When it comes to pursuing a romantic relationship with the Grim Reaper, it's best to begin by first establishing a friendship with him, just like you would with any other Sim.
After turning the recently deceased Sim into an urn or tombstone, select the Grim Reaper, choose any topic in the Friendly category, and maintain a pleasant conversation with him.
The Grim Reaper may unexpectedly vanish during the conversation with your Sim. If this happens, simply sacrificing another Sim will spawn him back into the world for you to try again.
You can also communicate with the Grim Reaper through your Sim's phone and computer.
Befriending the Grim Reaper will unlock the 'Hello, Darkness, My Old Chum' achievement.
How To Romance The Grim Reaper
Once your Sim has engaged in enough friendly conversations with the Grim Reaper, they will gain access to romantic conversation options, such as flirting, which can be repeatedly selected to fill up the Romance meter.
While the Grim Reaper may initially show disinterest in your Sim's romantic intentions, persistence and determination will be key in successfully winning his affection.
Once you've reached the maximum level on the Romance meter, the Grim Reaper will be more open to spending quality time with your Sim, and you will unlock almost all of the Romance options available for regular Sims.

How To Marry The Grim Reaper
Due to the Grim Reaper's unique role within The Sims 4, marrying the Servant of Death is impossible without cheats.
Before being able to marry the Grim Reaper, you must first include him in your Sim's family. As there is no vanilla way of accomplishing this, you must open up the cheat menu.
To access cheats, press CTRL + SHIFT + C to bring up a text box in the top left corner of the screen. Into this, enter "testingcheats on" to enable cheats. You should see a confirmation message in the text box if you're successful.
If you do not receive the confirmation message, try replacing the word "on" with "true."
Once activated, hover your cursor above the Grim Reaper and shift click to be given the option to add him to your Sim's family. The option to marry the Grim Reaper will be available after completing this final step.
