I've noticed a trend of posts that bend towards judgement, defensiveness, and just plain "mean" sentiments towards one another lately on this platform. I'd like to take this Monday to encourage everyone to just be kind! Mixed into some of those posts are also beautiful moments that people share about things going on in their lives...the good, the scary, and the hard. We have all had days where just one more negative statement could truly alter your well being. You never know what is going on with others. We only see each other through this tiny lens of social media. So, let's take today to remember all of the things that we are grateful for, all of the commonalities that we all have, and take a moment to be kind.

What's on your Thursday playlist?Thursday is a weird day of the week...not quite the weekend (oh, I'm sorry, I'm in logistics...what is a weekend again?)...bulk of the week is over. There is no better day than a Thursday to just turn on your best playlist, raise up the standing desk, and hit your prospecting and service with all you've got. You should never get to a Friday afternoon with the the realization that you haven't given this week everything that you could!My eclectic list for today - below are a few of the songs in my current "Stuff I like Right Now" playlist. Favorite Genre? What's that? Pro tip: It doesn't have to be all high energy, crazy fast music to inspire...some of the songs that get me going aren't that at all. Happy Administrative Professionals!This isn't the whole team (we struggle to get everyone in one place for a picture!)...but this is the BEST team. In sales, I firmly believe that you have to believe in what you are selling. If not, it's not genuine and inauthentic....which is exactly how to NOT do well in sales. I firmly believe in the opportunity I present to Freight Agents every day and it is because of this team right here! The Agent Support team at Trinity - this group cares so much about each Agent they speak to, puts their heart and soul into making sure that the experience our Agents have at Trinity is the best they will find, never settles for an "I don't know" or "maybe" but researches until they are confident in the answer....they are the real deal. What has kept your Freight Agency or Brokerage business going over the last year? We've all seen it (and many wallets have felt it!)....volumes down, more brokers trying to take the same number of shipments, inconsistent predictions on when the "market" will change....and many brokers, and carriers, going out of business. If you had to credit one thing with keeping your business going and profitable throughout the last year, what would it be?

It's not too late...it's never too late. Mondays are a great day to re-evaluate what you are doing and how you are feeling. Not loving it? Change it. ✔ Unhappy with how you feel? Schedule an appointment with a counselor or trusted confidante to talk it out.✔ Unhappy with your body? Start a habit of walking a little every day or swapping out one "snack" for a whole food option✔ Unhappy with your finances? Sit down today with your income and expenses and get real with what you can and can't do to improve...then do it.✔ Unhappy with your job? Start preparing for what's next...now! Learn, get a mentor, take steps towards what you want to do. I talk with people every day who want to be a Freight Agent, but they want to "wait" for the right time. Yet, when someone makes the switch, they say every time without fail...I wish I had done this sooner. There may not ever feel like a perfect time to change. But if you are unhappy with something about your life, then the perfect time is NOW! Life is too short to be unhappy or unfulfilled and only YOU can produce the change your life needs.

When I moved to a fully remote role at the beginning of the year, I knew that I was going to have to be intentional about moving! It's so easy to look at the clock at 4pm or so and realized that you haven't gotten up at all! So, I decided to make an intentional habit of moving every single day. Usually that looks like walking for 30 minutes before I turn on my computer...and depending on how the day goes, another 30-45 minutes when I turn it off. (some days you just need time to clear out your head before talking to your family! 😉)What are some habits that you have put into place to keep you healthy and productive?
